Easter Break in Europe

Our arrival to Geneva! Jen picked us up from the train station and drove us to her beautiful home just outside town on the lake. She is just steps from Lake Geneva! The dock was lined with fresh flower boxes.

Our first full day in Geneva~Jen & Jay drove us outside of town (just 45+ mins.) to see the snow of the Swiss Alps. It was too warm to ski (probably 60+ degrees), but it was a lot of fun to see the snow.

In the afternoon, we went into city center of Geneva and took a wonderful tour of Lake Geneva.

Well, it wouldn't be a trip to Switzerland without "having" to test out chocolate! We visited the Nestle/Callier chocolate factory-we couldn't believe all the samples!!

Jen drove us to the region of Gruyere where we visited this beatiful castle. Alexa exploring the gardens (above).

Our last morning in Geneva.

Alexa enjoying a beer (o.k. it's just Coke) at the most famous beer hall in the world-Hofbrauhaus in Munich. The pretzels & mustard were awesome!

Alexa holding a handmade squirrel entirely of wheat from an open market stand in the plaza in Munich.

We took the train from the center of Munich out to Olympic village (1972 Summer Games). What a beautiful park they had! Alexa & I had a fun time floating on the paddle boats around the lake adjacent to the Olympic buildings.

Alexa at dinner at the Ratskellar in Munich on our last night there. Having such an authentic german meal of chicken nuggets and french fries...

View of the castle of King Ludwig the second's parent's home from Nuechwanstein Castle.

Neuchwanstein Castle outside Munich.

A few words from Alexa while we stopped for a snack at a Cafe in Munich.
